Stave Lake Camp

posted Oct 13, 2012, 3:10 PM by Dunbar Cubscouts   [ updated Oct 13, 2012, 3:10 PM ]
Our first Cub camp, Stave Lake Reservoir Lodge ( East of Maple Ridge, 1 hour and 20 minutes from Vancouver ), will be the upcoming weekend - October 26-28, 2012.
We need registration forms and payments for all attending Cubs and parents by this Tuesday, October 23 (so we can buy enough food).

Cost is: $50.00/Cub; $45.00/attending parent - costs cover cabin rental and food.  Please pay by cheque made out to Scouts Canada Dunbar 25th Cubs.  Parents are encouraged and welcome to attend. Please no siblings. Attached below are two forms that we require attending parents or guardians to complete with you as the named participant. Cubs themselves do not need to complete the attached registration forms. Please note that parents attending must complete the Scouts Canada Child and Youth Safety Training.

Cubs and leaders from St Marks Pack 47th will be joining us for the weekend.

Schedule:
Friday October 26, 7:00 pm  arrive at Stave Lake ( https://maps.google.ca/maps/ms?msid=211171735686943974071.00048565d0d4f26e44173&msa=0&ll=49.243716,-122.365208&spn=0.081922,0.170288&iwloc=00048dfe41702d0de923b ). Cubs, parents, and leaders need to eat dinner before they arrive; only a snack will be available at Camp on Friday night. Cubs, parents, and leaders will need to bring all of their personal gear (see below).

When registering please identify if you will arrive Friday night or Saturday morning and/or if you have to leave early.

All participants must be properly equipped.  Much of the weekend will be outdoors so we all want to stay dry and warm.  Please see attached equipment list for what to pack. Please bring cutlery and non-breakable mug/plate/bowl. Please label all equipment/clothing that comes to  camp.

We will have further details as to our program in the coming weeks.

Yours in Scouting,

Akela (Sam King)
