Post date: Nov 04, 2013 5:18:35 AM
Hi scout families.
I hope those that have already participated in poppy sales this past weekend had a good time. There are also times available next weekend so please respond to Monique’s email and confirm what shift you will attend. Thank you for your support!
Nov 4 – full uniform meeting. We have a guest attending who will lead us in model airplane building.
Nov 11 – Remembrance Day ceremony at UBC. Scouts are expected to attend this ceremony from 10:30 am to noon. Two of our patrol leaders, Christian and Cameron will be presenting a wreath on behalf of Scouts in the Pacific Spirit Area. No meeting that night.
Nov 18 - regular meeting and part two of model plane building. This is when we get to see if our planes can fly!
Nov 22-24 camp at Allouette Lake Provincial Park. Activities will include gourmet cooking, campfire lighting and setting up our snow tent with wood burning stove. We will meet at the church at 2:30 pm on the Friday to pack and get on the road by 3:30 pm. Cost is $40 each. You can bring a cheque for 25th Dunbar Scouts to one of the upcoming meetings. This will be a fun camp and an important step to building our skills to prepare for the winter camp in January. We think camping is the best part of scouting and is a key part of the program at Dunbar . This is where we learn skills, grow friendships and build great memories. We hope you will plan ahead and make time to attend this great event.
Nov 25 – regular meeting.
Dec 2 – full uniform meeting
Dec 9 – yearend social. Details to be announced later...
